8 Weeks (2 months?!!)

Every mom says this. But, how is possible that I have a two month old?! I can't believe that 8 weeks have gone by. At times, these past 8 weeks have c.r.a.w.l.e.d. by. However, now, I cannot believe how quickly they have gone. I am halfway done with my maternity leave. Whoa. And each day, my prayer continues to be that I will treasure and enjoy each moment, and not wish it away.

My sweet girl is changing so much every day. Literally, I feel like every day a little bit more of her personality emerges. She had a fussy few weeks (just like the books say), and is showing herself to be a relaxed and easy going girl. She sleeps and eats like a champ, which in turn is causing her to GROW. This girl is wearing some 3-6 month clothes! Her 2 month appointment is this Friday, so we will get the official numbers and percentages. All I can measure it by is her size 2 diapers and 3-6 month clothes!  Big beautiful girl!

Jane is continuing to love to suck on her fists, and still loves her bouncy seat. She is now laying on her playmat and enjoying that for small amounts of time. She sleeps in her swaddle blanket, and is starting to be more attached to her paci, crying when it comes out. (What to do about this issue?!) She has been in her basket by our bed until today... and we are moving her to her nursery tonight. The only reason I'm sad about this is that I have to trek upstairs to get to her in the middle of the night. Again, this paci is gonna cause me a problem! She smiles and coos all the time, especially in response to our voices.

Look at that sweet, precious face!

Yummy- my fist!

Hi Mommy! Look at those big blue eyes (just like her daddy's).

The pre-fussy face... Enough with the pictures please.

And done.

Jane, you bring me and your daddy more joy than we thought possible. We are loving every minute with you, watching you change and grow right before our eyes. You are such a sweet, happy baby, and we hope you have your daddy's easy-going nature. My prayer every night is that you always know how much you are loved, by us and by God. (And that He will help me be a good mommy!) We love you to the moon and back, sweet girl.
