Oh the faces she makes...

We are so thankful to have had Aunt Jaime with us for these past 6 months. What a gift to know Jane is at our home, in her environment, with family. Jaime is making minimal amounts compared to her accountants income BUT we hope she is getting added bonuses of baby love. Jane loves Jaime and just lights up when she comes in the room. We know Jaime will be thrilled for Eric to come home in March but we will be sad to see her go. We are in the process of figuring out our next childcare step, so we will keep you posted. I do know I will miss my pictures Jaime sends me daily!

This little series of her faces is one of my favorites.

It also documents her first boo-boos. We had a minor accident and little girl rolled off the porch in her stroller and did a face plant in the grass. I was totally traumatized and cried as much as she did. But babies are super tough and she bounced back quickly.

Momstagrams

I do most of my picture taking on my phone due to how very convenient it is. I wanted to add some of those to my online baby book (of sorts).

Jane: 9 Months

As of January 22nd, you are 9 months old! I have always said that 9 months is my favorite age for a baby... and while I have loved every single stage you have been in, this one is so much fun. You have such a little personality, and it is fun to watch it develop. You are always making new sounds and faces, and we love it when you will mimik us.

- You say da-da-da-da and ba-ba-ba-ba a lot. We are trying to translate that to "daddy" and "bye bye"/"baby" but we aren't there quite yet.
- You have started clicking your tongue and you think you are so clever when you do that.
- You officially started crawling, and you love to be able to get what you want. You still will start fussing if you would rather be picked up than crawl!
- You are eating anything we cut into little pieces and put in front of you. Cheerios, peas, strawberries, blueberries, avocado, bananas, turkey, scrambled eggs. You are a rockstar eater, and you love meal time. When we put you in your highchair, your little feet start kicking and you flap your little hands around. So cute.
- Aunt Jaime found you sitting up in your crib after nap, so we had to lower your mattress.
- You love to be standing, and are pulling up on things.
- You also love to walk, and we hold your hands when you try to walk across the room.
- We said good-bye to Uncle Mitch and sent him off to OTS! So proud.
- Although you are pretty easy-going, you don't love chaos, and can get overwhelmed with lots of kids running around and screaming, etc. Your cousins and neighborhood group make you sort of clingy...
- We think you are the best baby ever... and I have a hard time even imagining loving another child like we love you. Although I know we will [one day]... I'm not even ready to think or talk about that!

So, without further ado... the pictures. One of my New Years Resolutions was to get my camera out and take pictures! I just use my phone and have not been nearly as good about it as I wanted to be... not to mention that our hard drive crashed (too sad to talk about it). But, I took some good ones this month!

Bath time is one of the best times of my day. You love it and we just sit up there and play and talk... and you are always this cute when you get out. Love to smile at yourself in the mirror.

This is the first day you were really crawling.

Stuffing Cheerios in as fast as you can.

Breakfast time. Truck PJ's (with a hairbow added by mommy)

This face! Those teeth! Your growing hair! Love love love.

Teethers.

So happy!

Added a little accessory! And you love to point your finger like that all the time.

The sign- intact for 30 seconds.

Thank you for all the joy you bring to us, sweet Jane. There is never a dull moment and I wouldn't trade it for the world!
